We support leaders - Peer to Peer

It enables leaders to exchange experience, develop fresh perspectives and build lasting connections.

Participants learn from their peers in a safe environment, helping to enhance and develop their leadership confidence and skills. The exchange groups are facilitated by trained Cranfield Trust volunteers who support each group over six meetings

As well as groups for Chief Executives, towards the end of the year we offered groups for emerging leaders. We had very high demand with over 100 people coming forward to join these groups. We are careful to match participants in each group with others working at a similar level, to enable useful discussion. This has been more challenging with groups of emerging leaders than our usual Chief Executive groups, as people have varied job titles.

We hold pre-group meetings between volunteer facilitators and potential participants to ensure that we bring together groups of people with similar levels of experience and responsibility.

Facilitators are reporting that participants are often emotional as they share their problems and challenges – it is a time of high stress for many people in the sector, and having the chance to be supported by peers and by the facilitator is a highly positive experience.
