Emma Parry, Professor of Human Resource Management, Director of the People, Skills and Leadership Theme, and Leadership Theme and Director for Academic Development at Cranfield University, has joined Cranfield Trust’s Board of Trustees.
 
Emma has a global reputation as an expert in people management, organisational behaviour and the changing world of work, and has worked with numerous organisations in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors on strategic workforce issues. Professor Parry is also an experienced trustee, currently Chair (and previously Vice-Chair) for the British Academy of Management.
 
Cranfield Trust supports hundreds of small to medium sized social welfare charities every year through pro bono management consultancy and mentoring, as well as through free webinars and online resources. Professor Parry’s extensive knowledge and expertise in strategy, leadership and the changing world of work strongly aligns with the strategy and services delivered by Cranfield Trust, and makes her an invaluable addition to Cranfield Trust’s Board.

Professor Parry comments on her appointment to the Board,

“I have long been aware of the excellent work that Cranfield Trust undertakes and feel honoured to now be able to contribute to this as a Board Trustee. The work of the Trust aligns strongly with my academic background and my personal values. I strongly believe that all organisations should have the opportunity to access business support and advice. In my role as Professor at Cranfield University and as Chair of the British Academy of Management, I have worked closely with not-for-project organisations and am very aware of the difficult environment they are working in and the value of Cranfield Trust’s pro bono work has in providing access to expertise to sustain their essential services at this challenging time. It is an honour to be a member of the Board, joining exceptional leaders and professionals in their fields, and I look forward to supporting the Trust in the development and introduction of its new strategy.”

Dr Griffiths also thanked outgoing trustee Professor Stephanie Hussels, “I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Professor Stephanie Hussels who has stepped down from the Board after nine years as an incredible Trustee. With her expertise in transformation and entrepreneurship, Steffi has helped to support and guide Cranfield Trust with the introduction of new and innovative services and played a key role in developing the Trust’s unique performance and evaluation framework, Journey to Excellence, which now supports
