At Cranfield Trust, we strongly support IVAR’s ‘Open and Trusting’ initiative which encourages funders to make unrestricted, long term grants.  To make this possible, organisations have to be ready to win unrestricted funding.  We’ve worked with IVAR to create some guidance to help charities prepare a strong case when applying for unrestricted funding, thinking about their organisations as a whole, rather than project by project.

Amanda Tincknell CBE, Cranfield Trust CEO said,

“At a time when demand is increasing, capacity is stretched and funding is so tight, we know that unrestricted funding is really important.  We’re delighted to have worked with IVAR to develop this new guide to provide practical advice and support, and to signpost charities to pro bono services and information that can help them to strengthen their organisations and be ready to put a strong case to funders.”
