2019 has been an incredible year for the Trust; delivering more services and more support to charities in the UK than ever before. For the past 30 years, we have been transforming organisations by sharing business skills with charities to empower learning and improve lives. In December we celebrated our birthday with an event titled Futureproof: Preparing for the Next Generation in Charity Leadership.

The event, attended by our Patron HRH The Princess Royal, was the perfect opportunity to discuss both the present and future of the charity sector. The event led with a discussion on the future for charity leadership, thanks to an expert panel of speakers: Helen Stephenson CBE, CEO, The Charity Commission; Karl Wilding, CEO, National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO); Philippa Charles, Director, the Garfield Weston Foundation; and Andrew Beeput, Chief Officer, The Bond Board, a Manchester-based charity which helps homeless people into housing.

We welcomed guests including representatives of charities, trusts and foundations, supporters of Cranfield Trust and our volunteers. Cranfield Trust is grateful to everyone who attended its 30th anniversary celebration, and especially to HRH The Princess Royal, its Patron, for her support over 30 years. We would like to thank our excellent speakers, Helen Stephenson CBE, Chief

Executive, The Charity Commission; Karl Wilding, Chief Executive, NCVO; Philippa Charles, Director, the Garfield Weston Foundation; Andrew Beeput, Chief Officer, The Bond Board, all our guests who participated in and contributed to our discussions, and Christine and Lissie, the magnificent musicians from Cranfield Trust client charity Music in Hospitals and Care who entertained us.
