Janice Bassett
Finance Manager
Janice joined the Trust in 2008 as Finance Manager following a long career in financial management. She has specialised in the voluntary sector, bringing transparency in accounting and reporting to charities in education, community and management services over the last 12 years. She carefully manages funds enabling a secure service for her colleagues, ensuring statutory compliance for the Trustees and encouraging growth plans.
Gillian Bell
Projects Manager - Scotland
Gillian's background is in the private sector with over 25 years of commercial experience both in the UK and internationally. She has held senior roles in blue chip companies spanning Financial Services, Travel and Healthcare with skills and expertise primarily in organisational change and operational efficiency. Gillian has also been a management consultant advising on the benefits of Homeworking assisting many companies successfully with this endeavour both in the UK and US. Gillian joined the Trust in 2016 as a Project Manager overseeing the projects for Scotland.
Kate Brackley
HRNet Administrator
With a background in the property industry, Kate has worked in both the Private and Public Sector. After a career break she has now joined the Cranfield Trust to help with the administration of projects and HRNet.
Deborah Brooks
Project Manager - London
Deborah joined Cranfield Trust in 2018 following over a decade spent in the Civil Service where she worked as a Senior Civil Servant in Cabinet Office and Department for Education. Prior to this, Deborah was a management consultant. She brings particular expertise in organisational strategy, diversity and inclusion, governance and performance management. Deborah is a trustee of Coram Life Education and a founder and Governor of a Free School.
Katie Clarke
Communications Officer
Katie joined the team in December 2017 to look after all of our social media channels and external communications, such as newsletters. She has worked in PR and Marketing for the last 12 years, although has more recently specialised in digital marketing, especially social media. Digital strategy and a voice on social media is becoming so important for non-profit organisations and Katie is ensuring we have our strategy in place and are being heard.
Roo Cleland
Communications Manager
Roo has worked in marketing, development, and fundraising for over 20 years and is a specialist in charity communication. Having worked for local and national charities for the past 15 years, Roo understands the challenges non-profit's can face and the vital role they play in society. In 2016, Roo joined the Cranfield Trust team on a part-time basis, to manage all aspects of the Trust' s marketing and communications.
Alice Dabrowska
Operations Manager
With over 20 years’ experience in the commercial world as an experienced management consultant specialising in retail, logistics and organisational change, Alice has transferred her skills to support voluntary sector organisations. Since 2000, Alice has been a volunteer and a Project Manager, and became Operations Manager in 2012, supporting the regions and expanding The Trust’s services.
Fiona Fraser
Project and Programme Manager
Fiona’s background has largely been within the not for profit sector, working with organisations of all sizes. She has experience working for start up, small and medium sized charities and social enterprises, in business development and project management roles. Most recently however she has worked for ACCA (a global not for profit) as Strategic Planning Manager. Fiona is also trained as an Executive Coach and Mentor, focusing on parents and carers transitioning within their professional life. Fiona’s two passions are working within the voluntary sector and coaching; The Cranfield Trust’s mentoring projects for small/medium sized charities makes her role as Project and Programme Manager a perfect fit.
Dino Galassi
HRNet Co-ordinator
In 2017, Dino joined the Trust as coordinator of HRNet, our online HR information service, overseeing advice and guidance to clients. He had previously been an HRNet volunteer and enjoyed helping charities on a range of matters from TUPE to discipline and grievance. An employment lawyer by background, his personal ethos is to help organisations manage risk and treat staff fairly, the latter often affecting the former.
George Gibbons
Projects Manager - North East
George has worked in the private sector for over 35 years and the last 11 of those years up to 2012 was as a Business/Operations Director with Saint-Gobain Building Distribution. Practised in clarifying business requirements, performing business analysis and implementing change in working procedures, system improvements and business development. More recently he has been working as a Management Consultant on various projects and also volunteers as a mentor for young people setting up in business.
Sue Hall
Projects Manager - Yorkshire & Humber
Sue worked with the Probation Service for over 30 years, starting as a probation officer and ending as Chief Executive of the West Yorkshire Probation Trust, a post she held for 9 years until 2014. She was also national Chair of the Probation Chiefs Association for 5 years. In 2010 she was awarded an OBE for services to probation. Sue has an MBA from the Open University and is currently completing a qualification in coaching and mentoring. She joined the Trust in 2016, having been a volunteer since 2015.
Olive Hamilton-Andrews
Projects Manager - London & South East
A qualified project manager and a volunteer with the Trust for over 12 years, Olive’s varied work experience spans agriculture, public relations, journalism, accountancy, public health and latterly corporate governance and managing corporate services in the NHS. She has worked in and has developed partnerships across the private, public and voluntary sectors and has a special interest in organisational development. An experienced non-executive director, she has chaired and serves as a member of a number of organisational boards and committees and is currently a business owner working in virtual business management.
Dawn Harrison-Wallace
Projects Manager - London & South East
After 11 years with Shell, gaining a thorough grounding in everything from Sales and Marketing to Finance and Operations, Dawn launched her own consultancy business specialising in organisational development and change management - in particular working alongside senior managers and team leaders to bring about effective implementation of business strategies and change initiatives through a blend of consultancy, coaching and facilitation. Dawn become a volunteer for the Trust in 2012. She is also a Trustee of two Theatre Charities – Half Moon Young People’s Theatre and Sedos.
Karen Hurley
Administrator
Karen joined the Cranfield Trust team in 2016 and is responsible for the smooth running of the Trust's office and supporting management functions. Karen is a skilled PA, administrator and reception manager, with 12 years experience working for the NHS.
Jayne Kendall
Project Manager - Wales
Jayne has over 25 years of commercial experience working in both the public and private sectors across government, digital, healthcare, education, financial services and tourism. She has held senior roles with Welsh Government to raise the profile of Wales as a location for inward investment . She also managed her own marketing consultancy for over 10 years. Jayne has a track record of leading brand, product, marketing and communications campaigns in domestic and international markets. Jayne joined the Trust in April 2018 as Project Manager overseeing the projects for Wales.
Trevor Kitching
Projects Manager - Midlands
Trevor Kitching is a management consultant with over 30 years experience working with large companies, public sector organisations and SMEs across all business sectors. He specialises in procurement and the supply chain and acts as an independent verifier for the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply's corporate certification scheme as well as running his own independent consultancy.
Marie Langan
Project Manager - South West
Marie is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales ("ICAEW") with over 28 years of accounting and auditing experience in a variety of management roles in Big Four and Top 20 firms in the UK and US, most recently in global outsourcing in the technology sector. Marie has also specialised in project management, business development, risk management and corporate governance. She has audited charities and has acted as Treasurer and Vice Chair on the Board of Trustees of a law centre. Marie joined the Trust in April 2018 as Project Manager overseeing our projects in the South West of England.
James Lennard
Head of Finance, Administration & Control
Jim joined the team in March 2018, building on 15 years’ experience as a senior manager in local / regional voluntary sector organisations leading financial strategy, central support services, IT strategy, communications infrastructure and data security. A key element of Jim’s role will be to build robust support services, infrastructure and effective policies and processes to underpin the Trust’s growth and development.
Vanessa Longman
Projects Co-ordinator
With a background in education and information management, Vanessa joined the Cranfield Trust in 2006. Vanessa liaises with charity clients and volunteers to ensure the smooth delivery of services, working with charities to discern and co-ordinate their consultancy requirements.
Donald Reid
Projects Manager - South East
Following a 35 year career in the UK and International Oil business where he led multi-disciplined and cross-cultural teams to deliver profit growth and a major global simplification programme, Donald became a volunteer with The Cranfield Trust. He became a Project Manager in 2012 and oversees projects in London and Surrey.
Nick Stojic
Projects Manager - North West and Wales
Nick’s background is from the commercial world, working in senior roles with two blue chips and also a period of company ownership. He has expertise in business development and operational excellence. Nick has thorough knowledge of franchising and contracting and as a consequence has a passion for helping SME’s succeed. Nick has been a volunteer with The Trust since 2010 and has a commitment to the sustainability of the charity sector and the role this plays in our society.
Amanda Tincknell
Chief Executive
Amanda joined the Trust as a volunteer in the 1990s, after completing her MBA at Cranfield School of Management. With a background in market research and recruitment, Amanda was an early Project Manager for the Trust, and spent some time as a trustee, before becoming Chief Executive in 2000. She holds overall responsibility for the direction and management of the Trust, reporting to the Trustee Board. Amanda was awarded a CBE for services to the charitable sector in the New Year’s Honours List 2015. Follow @AmandaTincknell on Twitter.
Roger Watkins
Projects Manager - London & South East
With over twenty years’ experience of international assignments, Roger continues to act as a consultant to government and private sector projects, working on organisation and operations reviews, training and development in countries including Jordan, Afghanistan and Uganda. He is the Trust's longest standing Project Manager and manages projects in London and the South East.
Ian Williams
Projects Manager - South East and East of England
In addition to his role with The Cranfield Trust Ian works as an independent management consultant. He has worked on projects in the energy, health, education and not for profit sectors. Prior to this he worked for Santander Bank and for a project management consultancy. He has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management is a trustee of a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities.
