"Thanks to the volunteer’s input we now have an excellent three year business plan. We have already received excellent feedback from funders as to its clarity, professionalism and great layout."

Each project is individually tailored to meet the particular needs of the organisation. When the Trust receives a request for management support, a local Project Manager is assigned to understand and develop a clear idea of what is required in order to identify a suitably skilled volunteer. They will be available to offer support throughout the process and will sign off the project at its successful conclusion.
Volunteers fit the Cranfield Trust projects around their work and other commitments, and their usual input is between 4 and 12 days over a period of up to 6 months. Volunteers act as advisers, so client organisations need to set time aside to work with them.
Cranfield Trust volunteers give their time free but client organisations are asked to cover their basic expenses e.g. travel.
We frequently work with charities on more than one project. For example, an initial request for help with new development activities can lead to a further project working on a business plan or recruitment.
